Terrarium Light
I kind of wonder what the upkeep on this light fixture would be, and I think this might be meant as sculpture, but it's still pretty cool.

Marimekko + Converse
Continuation of my "point of view" presentation— "parents get psyched". (Converse is owned by Nike, Marimekko is that company my mom loves.)
Also, I think this is just an exciting new way of looking at design in America.

Ideas > Client
Advice from my friend Gwen (design researcher & strategist) on getting a client to adopt design ideas:
"The best thing is to listen. Sometimes we think we understand what people are saying or what they need, but it's always good to repeat or better yet, show them something and ask, is that what you're saying? Acknowledge that it will be a process with learning happening on both sides, but hopefully at the end you'll feel like it's a collaboration. It's also good if your narrative around the solution or design strategy/design starts with an issue or problem statement or inspiration that came from the client. This inherently builds what's important to them into your work and will at least get them to listen, if not adopt."

A piece of meat
Speaking of food...
probably not many people would think to design a butcher shop. But when someone does, the results are just amazing. Enjoy!
